  • Bushwick Film Festival

    The Bushwick Film Festival is seeking a Part-Time Community and Partnership Manager to help strengthen our network of filmmakers, volunteers, alumni, and partners while actively supporting the growth of our festival’s visibility and revenue. We're looking for someone who is experienced, proactive, organized, and excited to work at the intersection of community-building and partnership development.

    Now in its 18th year, the Bushwick Film Festival is a platform for emerging voices. We produce a five-day festival, year-round events, filmmaker programs, and educational initiatives. As we continue to grow, we’re building a team that understands community is the heart of what we do and the engine that drives our future.

    Role Overview:
    The Community and Partnership Manager is a part-time, high-impact role responsible for managing volunteer coordination, supporting alumni engagement, and assisting with internal operations and logistics. You’ll also play a key role in activating opportunities that drive ticket sales, partnerships, sponsorships, and memberships. This position is ideal for someone who can balance thoughtful community care with a strategic, growth-oriented mindset. Potential for full-time.

    Ideal Candidate:

    • Committed and Reliable: Able to consistently commit to 10 hours/week across two set days for the full 3-month contract.

      Experienced: Strong background in event coordination, community management, partnership development, or sales-related roles.

    • Organized and Outcome-Driven: Excellent project manager with a focus on results, not just tasks.

    • Clear Communicator: Warm, professional, and proactive across email, calls, and in-person events.

    • Entrepreneurial Spirit: Always looking for ways to strengthen community ties and open doors for growth.

    • Sales-Friendly: Comfortable supporting outreach that leads to sponsorships, ticket sales, memberships, and revenue growth.

    • Passionate: Believes in the power of storytelling, film, and creative communities to make an impact.

    Time Commitment & Compensation:

    • Approximately 8–9 hours per week (about 33 hours per month)

    • 3-month contract totaling approximately 100 hours

    • $2,500 total for the contract period (equivalent to $25/hour)

    • Includes a 5–10% commission on any partnerships, sponsorships, memberships, or event-related sales that you help close or significantly support (final percentage will be based on level of involvement and discussed during the interview)

    • Potential to extend the contract based on performance

    Location:

    • Must be based In Brooklyn. Remote with occasional in-person meetings or event days in Brooklyn, NY.
