Bushwick Film Festival Set to Premier First-Ever NFT Film Showcase
In 2021, I led the Bushwick Film Festival’s 14th annual hybrid edition, featuring 135 films from 27 countries across in-person screenings and a new digital platform. That year also introduced our first NFT film showcase, expanding how independent filmmakers could experiment with emerging technology while still keeping community and storytelling at the center.

In 2020, I guided the Bushwick Film Festival through its first fully virtual edition, bringing together over 100 films from 30 countries during one of the most challenging moments for the arts. Beyond screenings, we created a dynamic online experience with filmmaker Q&As, industry panels, live music, and community conversations—continuing our mission to connect people through storytelling, even from a distance.
The 13th Annual Bushwick Film Festival Announces 2020 Freestyle Competition
In 2020, I expanded the Bushwick Film Festival experience beyond film by launching new virtual community programming, including our Freestyle Competition, which invited artists to creatively respond to themes of transformation, growth, and change. Even during a global pandemic, we found innovative ways to celebrate storytelling, music, and creative expression while keeping our community connected.
