Sammie Peña

Sammie Peña is a Texas chicana native and has a BA in Film and Screen Studies from Pace University. She is very excited to be working with Bushwick Film Festival and their Social Media team! Currently, she is in preproduction for her first short film out of her college career, “At the Ballet”.

 

Lorianna Logan

Lorianna Logan is a former “Mad Men” copywriter, turned film screenwriter, based in Brooklyn, NY. With a knack for storytelling and a passion for the arts, this CLIO Award-winning creative now adds psychological horror and thriller shorts to her dynamic body of work. When she’s not writing, you can catch LL editing for the YouTube channel, Jonesin’ for the W, or helping out on sets and film festivals around NYC.

 

Marlyatou Barry

My name is Marly Barry. I am a senior at Brooklyn College studying film and marketing. I am very passionate about movies and screenwriting, so I’m grateful that I’m able to participate and play a small part in this film festival.

 

Samantha Farias

Born in and based out of NY, Sam Farias works as a freelance photographer, camera operator, and graphic designer. A background in various crafts informs a holistic approach to creativity – one deeply imbued with a hunger for understanding and knowledge. Her distinct eye and approach garners a unique and striking body of work in both print and video formats. In coming years she aims to write, direct, and DP the projects in the realm of independent cinema with aspirations of contributing to the films that inspire the next generation.

 

Pritika Sharma

I am a current film student at The New School and I love all things cinema! I love to go to the movies, purchase random funny-shaped lamps, and collect artisan jam flavours. I would love to collaborate and/or even have a conversation about anything, whether we share interests or not! I am hoping to learn more about the independent film scene in New York! Feel free to reach out.

 

Stefany Vargas

Stefany is a Southern California native with a performance theater & vocalist background. She made the move to Philadelphia as a teen & began working as a PA, eventually leading to regular set-work in NYC. An official move was made by 2015 where she settled in Bushwick & attended Brooklyn College as a Screenwriting major. Since then she has been working as a Script Doctor & Supervisor transitioning recently into Video Editing. She is credited for these roles in 2023’s New York Cinefest festival winning feature “Not for Nothing”, which went on to win many awards at various festivals across the nation.

Delano Allen

Growing up as an artist in the small island of Jamaica posed its challenges. In a culture where pursuing careers like medicine or law is often prioritized, having a child who declares an artistic path is every Caribbean parent’s worst nightmare. However, after my mother got married, I was presented with a life-changing opportunity to move to America. The idea of starting over in a different country evoked both fear and excitement within me, yet I embraced the journey wholeheartedly.

 

Jimmy Smith

Jimmy Smith an On-Set VFX Supervisor and compositor who has been working in the VFX industry for the last six years. As a compositor, he has worked on shows such as “The Walking Dead: Dead City”, “911”, “Evil” and “Colin in Black & White”. As an On-Set Supervisor, he has worked on the TV shows “Power Book III: Raising Kanan” and “Power Book II: Ghost”.

 

Victoria Hubler

Born in France with Brazilian roots, Victoria moved to the United States to initially pursue her studied in pre-med, despite always having a strong interest in acting. She later followed her passion and graduated from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in May 2024. Eager to connect with like-minded creatives, she is excited to volunteer at the Bushwick Festival, where she enjoys meeting people who share her enthusiasm for the arts.

Ronnie Jarmon

Ronnie Jarmon is a motivated self-starter that can apply a tremendous amount of energy to any project with which he is involved. Ronnie has performed in a variety of theater productions and has appeared in reenactments for History Channel, Discovery Channel, and Animal Planet. You can catch this young phenom hosting bingo-raves and hyping up sports fans at Madison Square Garden. A fun fact, he was once pranked on “Impractical Jokers” by Jeff Daniels!

 

Flynn Morrison

My name is Flynn Morrison and I am a 24 year old New Orleans native whose life has ben shaped by movies and has recently moved to Brooklyn.

 

Erica Nichole Walker

I am an actor, screenwriter and musician from East Cleveland, Ohio. As my third film festival in the position of volunteer, I am excited to work behind the scenes to ensure that my supervisors, festival attendees and my fellow volunteers have a stellar, safe and exciting time this year.

Frost Martin

At the intersection of artistry and advocacy, Frost is a documentary filmmaker living in Brooklyn, New York. Her films focus on timely and personal stories, centering on women's rights, history, reproductive healthcare, and restorative justice. Her upcoming documentary, More Than A Woman, interweaves 15 individuals' lives with MRKH. Frost's education in film spans from a Film BFA with a minor in Entrepreneurship at Pratt Institute to Columbia University writing intensives and the Film Academy at The Representation Project.

 

Emily Lerch

Emily Lerch is a filmmaker and creative based in New York City producing short films with nostalgic themes centered around everyday life. Through her work, she combines personal and universal emotions. She is currently a senior studying at Pace University majoring in Film & Screen Studies.

Lucy Sarasin

Originally from Switzerland, Lucy is an actor, writer and director based in New York City.
She is an alumni of the acclaimed Neighborhood Playhouse, School of the Theater.
Apart from being parttaking in the Bushwick Film Festival, she also worked at the 61st New York Film Festival in 2023.

In 2023 she shot her own short film "Heights" which she herself wrote, produced, co-directed and starred in. The film was selected at mulitiple film festivals around the world and screened at both the Manhattan Film Festival and the New York Short Film Festival.

Lucy is a working actor in the city, having been involved in short films, commercials and plays.

Ananda White

Ananda is a devoted lover of all things film and moved to New York to pursue a career in filmmaking two years ago. Her love for film festivals came from her time volunteering for them while being an undergraduate in Chicago. She currently is a freelance production assistant. Outside of film, she enjoys reading with her bookclub, and will take recommendations.

Angelo Regidor

Angelo Regidor is a writer and director who earned a Film Studies BA from Queens College and who has over 5 years of freelance experience in various roles such as Producer, 1st AD, Production Assistant, Cinematographer, Grip, Gaffer, Script Supervisor, and Editor.

 

Lillie Wojcik Foster

I'm a visual director, editor and writer. My career began in Los Angeles working as a treatment designer for commercial and film directors at Bob Industries and Partizan Entertainment. Looking to broaden my creative spectrum, I went on to train as a music video commissioner, eventually working with Republic Records, mtheory, TMWRK, and OWSLA to create video content for major recording artists, before deciding to pursue directing and editing full-time. Born and raised in Minnesota, I now mainly work between New York and Los Angeles but I hold a special passion for midwestern-based projects.

Grace Maher

Hi! I’m a recent graduate from West Chester University, where I earned my B.A. in Communication Studies with a minor in Digital Marketing. With a passion for the performing arts and film, I love combining my creativity with my volunteer work in these industries. I’m dedicated, innovative, and always striving to reach new goals. What’s next on my watch list? Wicked - and I can’t wait!
